This is a great opportunity for self-employed (commission-based) sales agents that understand retail and retail software. This UK based company has developed a labour scheduling and performance management tool that uses shopper numbers to help retail stores align their staff to the needs of their business.
The company’s core product is a simple and highly effective tool, used by several high street retailers (including Clarks Shoes and River Island) in the UK and they are now seeking to form professional working partnerships with independent sales agents that are able to help with proliferating the software into other retailers around the globe. Their product is very affordable, easy to implement and provides a quick ROI for the client.
The product is browser-based, so it is hosted, offered as a service and accessible from anywhere. It can be used as a stand-alone scheduler, but for best results it needs to take a feed from the retailer’s till (POS) system, as well as any customer traffic counting device that the retailer may employ. The reason a customer traffic feed is so valuable is that scheduling staff to match anticipated customer traffic patterns seems obvious, but many retailers are failing to do this effectively, if at all.
Taking a feed from the till system is important as this delivers important performance data from the retail shop floor right up to head office.
The product can be implemented from as little as £15 / $22 per store per month and the return on investment (ROI) can easily be achieved in less than a day per month.
This company provides their software solution as a hosted service, as well as full technical, pre-sales and ongoing support.
Please Tell Self-employed sales and tele-sales agents Why They Should Consider Working with Your company
We believe that we offer the perfect opportunity to independent sales professionals with contacts and experience in the retail industry. Our company is flexible and uncomplicated and our products are proven in the Marketplace.
We understand the power of an extended network as well as rewarding sales people appropriately. We understand the way that self-employed sales people work and what they expect from a great company principal. We truly believe that we can all win provided we share the spoils.
A well-connected retail IT sales agent could potentially be opening multiple doors and, with our dedicated pre-sales assistance, find their way to signing many ongoing and lucrative contracts.
What About The Sales Cycle?
The sales cycle can vary considerably, but usually we’d anticipate a sale to be made between 1-6 months from first point of contact. The reason the sales cycle can vary is due to having to collaborate with the retailer’s other IT providers to provide the POS and traffic data feeds. However, the main product is literally deployable within a couple of days from, so there are no hold-ups at our end.
Is Training Provided to Successful self-employed Sales Agents?
Full training is not only provided, but viewed as essential. This will involve mainly sales / marketing / operational training, but with a couple of technical details thrown in for good measure. The system is not even remotely complicated, but it’s important that the sales agent is fully prepared and up-to-speed with our products prior to reaching out to their contacts.
Training on all products and services is provided, as well as sales/Marketing materials; the management also offers full support to help close deals and to negotiate contractual details.
What Type of Self-employed Agent Is Best Suited to this Opportunity?
We are looking to partner with professional self-employed sales and tele-sales agents, preferably with experience in B2B sales within the Retail sector, the Retail IT sector or the IT sector in general.
We are also happy to accept applications from self-employed sales and tele-sales agents who currently work with other non-conflicting companies, and we realise the value of becoming a part of your existing network. Ideally we are looking for independent sales reps with experience within the Retail / IT / Retail IT marketplaces, but there is no need for any in-depth technical understanding as full training of the system will be provided.
How About The Commission Structure And Payment Terms You Offer?
We have a very high client retention rate and contracts frequently span several years. Our clients pay on a monthly basis and a commission is paid to the sales rep at 50% of the monthly value of the contract for the first 6 months, then 25% every month afterwards, for the entire duration of the contract.
