PRODIGEO: Market NOSK Nasal Filters at a 20% Commission - EU/Ireland/UK

Alexander HowardAlexander Howard

PRODIGEO specializes in helping companies bring quality products into the global market. They're the official distributors of NOSK Nasal Filters in both Ireland and the UK, and believe their product can be an overwhelming success with the help of a few expert independent sales agents.

1. Where did the inspiration for PRODIGEO Ltd. come from?

Three years ago my partner and I decided to take a break from our careers and travel the world. It was an eye-opening experience, and one of the things we saw time and again was how products could be successful in one country but non-existent outside of it. NOSK is a prime example of that: developed in South Korea and successful in Southeast Asia and Australia, but yet to be introduced in the UK (where it will arguably be most in demand due to air pollution, asthma, and hayfever). We wanted to start a company that helped startups and SMEs break the invisible barriers of their domestic borders.

2. Tell us a little about your expertise in the startup/import-export arena

Both my partner and I are industrial engineers. I’ve worked in the Irish pharmaceutical industry as both an engineer and an operational excellence and supply chain consultant, but I also consider myself a serial entrepreneur. My partner is Colombian and has worked for years in logistics. She also has experience in digital marketing and business development, which we’ve used to build our client base at home (in Ireland) and further afield. While we still outsource certain tasks to freelancers, Shirley and I have the experience and background to offer clients a suite of unique and useful services.

3. Can you tell us about some of your past work?

We work with both startups and SMEs, so our clients seek us out at different stages of their business journeys. We offer a comprehensive suite of consultancy services. Our core product is a feasibility study supported by an EU grant system. It encompasses in-depth market research and collaborative business planning. We also offer a brand management service that allows clients to essentially outsource their marketing department while we support the development and execution of their strategies. Finally, we act as sales agents and distributors to help clients increase sales to international markets.

4. What's your greatest client success story?

PRODIGEO Founders

Even as a fledgling business, PRODIGEO’s feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. The value we provide our clients at the consultancy stage has provided some of our most successful outcomes to date. Through our in-depth market research, we have opened up new markets for clients, often four times larger than the ones they had been considering. We also discovered a potentially crippling trademark conflict that required rapid pivoting to avoid. It’s satisfying to see clients growing due (at least partly) to our hard work.

5. What made you consider working with independent sales agents?

Independent sales agents make sense for a whole list of reasons. For us, a consultancy firm that outsourced functions to experts, it was a no-brainer. You also need to take into account the wealth of experience and expansive networks of contacts they can provide for an industry. With our mixed client base, it’s reassuring to know that there are sales agents on CommissionCrowd who can help grow our sales!

6. Why would sales agents have an edge selling your products?

Our product portfolio is somewhat niche, and we prefer it that way. Our unstated ethos is that our products must be ethically sound, supportive of human health, good for the environment, and have a positive effect on society as a whole. A full-time hired professional would quickly become too spread thin trying to cater to all our markets, but freelance sales agents can have more targeted networks and connections.

7. What sets your service apart from the competition?

We offer a suite of services for aspiring startups and SMEs looking for a true end-to-end experience. In simple terms, we provide clients with research-backed growth strategies and then help follow through. This requires a level of collaboration, familiarity, and contact that a larger firm can’t offer. In a way, we allow clients to outsource their own growth strategies, rather than invest in functions they lack expertise in.

8. What are your plans for the future of PRODIGEO?

We’re looking to continue building our client base and expand our portfolio of products. Our company remains committed to helping clients discover the best path towards growth so that they can successfully develop beyond their domestic borders. We believe that agents applying through CommissionCrowd can help us be successful in this regard.

9. What are your best-selling services and why?

Our feasibility study service is currently our best-selling, as it is partly supported by a grant. This means that clients can get incredible value from the service (up to 50% off their costs, up to €30,000).

10. Have you received any recognition or awards for your products?

We are the official distributor for NOSK nasal filters in both the UK & Ireland. We’ve also won design and innovation awards from all around the world.

11. Describe your typical sales cycle and process.

For NOSK we typically keep a list of potential retailers, wholesalers, and businesses for contacting (though we also prefer independent agents to engage within their own networks). Leads can be qualified over the phone. We work remotely, so appointments are not always possible. Once a lead is interested, we generally send a sample and follow up with them until the deal is closed. The process can take between three to six weeks to complete.

12. How do you currently bring in new business and win contracts?

As we work remotely, the majority of our new businesses comes through existing connections or our websites (www.prodigeo.ie, www.prodigeo-global.com, www.feasibilitystudygrants.ie for consulting, and www.nosk.co.uk for NOSK). We also have several other clients in the pipeline who we have yet to sign sales contracts with. We actively seek out clients and products from markets in which we have an interest exporting with (Ireland, Spain, and Colombia).
